BIOGRAPHY & INTERESTS

I am a qualified Early Years School Teacher trained in CACHE level 3 Childcare. I have worked in both Steiner and mainstream schools in London and have even been a teacher at the Acorn Nursery School in Notting Hill where I taught many children from high profile families in school and at home. I have worked as a private mentor for over 8 years, specializing in primary aged children. I have worked for parents of all professions and my adaptable and easy-going manner helps me be able to work with anyone, no matter what they do. My focus is mainly on the children and what they need alongside the needs of the parents. My degree in History of Art and interest in the Arts (fine art, acting and writing) influence my teaching methods.

EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

My teaching ethos aims to inspire the children I work with, through stories, games and creative hands-on activities so that they can learn to gain confidence in expressing themselves freely. I believe that learning should be fun and inspiring, and that each child should be fully supported and nurtured so that they can become the best they can be. I firmly believe that learning should not just be for the classroom but can be found in everyday life. I feel that my job as a mentor is to encourage each child’s personal learning journey, to influence their individual character and stimulate their knowledge and interests.
