Biography & Interests
I have just begun to read for a MA in Intelligence and International Security at King's College London and this reflects my interest in politics and international relations, however, outside the classroom you will usually finding me playing some form of sport. I play rugby when I can but also enjoy long-distance outdoor swimming and getting out on my bike. A particular highlight of mine being a cycle tour around northern Europe to catch the end of the Tour de France. Being a farmer's son, I also have a penchant for all things rural and do enjoy getting out of the city regularly.
Experience & Approach
The bulk of my experience has been based upon helping students to interact with the periods and subject areas within history that they are particularly interested in. It is my view that mentoring is a holistic service that is as much about imbuing students with the confidence to explore subjects themselves as it is providing support for them when they find a particular skill or subject difficult. Over the past two years, I have also helped students apply to Oxford and Cambridge. As such I have offered subject specific mentoring services for history the subject that I studied whilst at University College, Oxford.
"Cameron's feedback is undoubtedly the best I have ever seen for a situation like this (on whether to reapply to Oxford University) and I only wish I'd had support from someone like him when I was making my university choices" - Hugh, Father of Sophie, October 2018
