Biography & Interests

I am a medical student who is currently studying a Bsc in Endocrinology (the science of hormones in the human body), at Imperial College London. I attended school for my GCSEs in Hertfordshire and studied the International Baccalaureate at Wellington College, Berkshire. I obviously enjoy science very much, but also have interests in philosophy, current affairs, reading and the theatre. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and baking, going to music concerts and volunteering for charities such as Anaphylaxis UK, by going into junior schools and teaching children about EpiPen use and allergies. In the future, I hope to be a hospital doctor who carries out research and teaches medicine to undergraduate medical students.

Experience & Approach

I am so enthusiastic about learning and teaching and I hope to share this eagerness with any prospective mentees. My sessions will leave them feeling more confident and equipped to tackle any academic and pastoral challenges ahead. Learning does not have to be a chore and I hope to demonstrate this with my humour and up-beat approach! I have had successful experience with mentoring at GCSE, A-level and undergraduate level, and I have taught mainly those who are struggling with their subjects. I believe that the best learning environment is one tailored to the individual student and where their specific strengths and weaknesses lie.

I want to provide a teaching schedule filled with exercises that provide well-rounded understanding and skill within the specific topics. In addition to supporting students who need extra help, I am keen to provide extension mentoring to students who would like a challenge. I am happy to help with applications to medical school, interview practise and personal statement preparation for those interested in applying for science based subjects, as I have great experience with the process.
