BIOGRAPHY & INTERESTS

Since graduating from the University of Edinburgh, I have been mentoring full-time which I balance alongside my master’s degree at City University, London. At City, I am studying international journalism, with a view to becoming a foreign affairs correspondent. When I am not studying, I enjoy reading books and writing, but above all else, I am a huge sports fan. Most evenings, I tend to be playing a sport of some description, but it is usually football over the Winter. I am also an avid Chelsea fan and attend games regularly.

EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

As someone who has himself been mentored, I fully appreciate the importance of growth outside of the classroom. I like to create an environment that allows my mentees to come out of their shell so that they can start building a confidence of their own. I take an informal and friendly approach to mentoring so that mentees will feel comfortable enough to express themselves in our sessions. Once a relationship has been established, both myself and the mentee can tackle the challenges that he or she is facing together. I have experience in tutoring a variety of different ages and academic stages, but my specialist topics are English, History and Politics, which I can tutor up to A-level standard.
