  • Cambridge University: Archaeology and Anthropology, 1st Class Honours

I was educated at international schools in Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong before returning to the UK to complete Sixth Form at Sevenoaks School. At Sevenoaks I was a House Captain which involved organising house activities, as well as providing pastoral support for younger students. I graduated from Cambridge in 2014 with a double first in Archaeology & Anthropology. Whilst at University I was the Events Coordinator for the college JCR as well as a lead fundraiser for the Raising and Giving Society. Currently, I am working as a Co-Founder of food start-up Skinny Dipping, producing nutritious vegetable dips. When I’m not blending up dips, I enjoy driving around in my VW campervan and cooking for family and friends.

Following my degree, I spent a year working as a Teaching Assistant in multiple inner city secondary schools. I individually supported students who required additional learning assistance, this included preparing tailored resources and nurturing English capabilities for EAL students. Furthermore, I organised and directed specialised sessions for autistic children which aimed to improve their social skills.  Prior to this, I was a member of the Student Community Action group whilst at university. This involved assisting at weekly homework support sessions in local schools. My experience has taught me the importance of tailoring lessons to each individual child. I believe taking a fun and interactive approach is essential in bringing out the confidence of every student and keeping them engaged.
