Oppidan were delighted to begin our partnership with Wellington College, Bangkok on a two-part mentoring programme.

The programme involved group training for student mentors and a follow up private mentoring session. During the group work, students were asked to think directly about their role as mentors receiving training in communication and leadership for their personal development and the wider school community's betterment.

The experience finished with a 1:1 and accompanying report – directly mentoring students for their next steps as sixth formers and providing actionable feedback to take forward as they continue their academic journey.

Wellington’s Head of IGCSE said the following:

“We welcomed Oppidan at the start of the academic year to work with our Year 12 students and have since had the pleasure of hosting them for a return visit more recently to work with our Year 10 students. It has been a rewarding experience partnering with Oppidan, who are also collaborating with other leading international schools across Bangkok and beyond. Throughout their sessions, Oppidan encouraged our students to reflect on how to be successful in their studies, while also promoting independence and autonomy. The feedback from our students has been fantastic, with many eager for the opportunity to work with Oppidan in future years. We look forward to expanding this partnership with further visits and welcoming Oppidan back next academic year and beyond to continue supporting our students’ growth and offering personalised mentoring to foster excellence.”
