The right mentor makes all the difference for a young person’s progress through school. Our founders Henry and Walter are childhood friends. They started Oppidan at their kitchen table in 2016. Since then, we’ve set up life-changing mentoring relationships for students all over the world. 

We’ve spent more than a decade hiring, training and supporting inspirational adult mentors in their work with students. We have written and iterated a unique curriculum of mentoring content, underpinned by the Oppidan Model. We’ve worked with more than 200 of the world’s best schools, from standalone independents to global brands and scaled trusts. We’ve handheld more than 4,000 families through important life moments for their children. We founded a charity that makes more mentoring possible in UK public sector schools. 

Our home is London, but we operate in Asia, The Middle East, Europe and the United States. Our office team of 15 supports a full-time and freelance mix of around 150 mentors. We want our mentees to grow up as confident students with the timeless skills to take on life’s challenges.
